Born and bred in the UK, I dabbled with acting as a child but put most of my creative energy into music – I play saxophone and clarinet. University and a job presenting to large audiences followed, and I started to realise that people listen when I talk. I didn’t think much of it until a professional in the industry told me that I had a really interesting voice and I should think about using it as voice actor. It took me a few years, but I never forgot that conversation, and the trigger for me was when I moved to New York – as Frank Sinatra put it, it was time to make a brand new start of it. So I trained at Edge Studio, recorded my demo, kitted out my studio and there I was, raring to go! But life happens, and in my case that meant a relocation back to the UK. So here I am – a New York trained London based voice actor.

I’m very happy doing either narration or commercial work. My voice comes across by default as confident yet friendly, and I have a lot of flexibility – all those years of training my diaphragm for clarinet and sax have given me a very well supported voice. My accent is my accent though, and there’s no changing that. If you can tell me where I’m from I’ll be impressed!
